As somebody who worshipes Monty Python’s Flying Circus I must add one interesting thing about the song.
The guy who is playing the Jesus is Dr. Graham Chapman (yup Dr.) He was a homosexual and an alcoholic. He died in 1989, one day before the 20th anniversary of the first broadcast of Flying Circus. They called this “the worst case of party-pooping in all history.”
During the memorial ceremony for the first time* on British television somebody used words “shit” and “fuck”. After the memorial speech his friends started singing the same song from Vesna’s blog. What a way to die, a?!

Old-time favorite! I think the holy grail is still slightly better though. Maybe I should undo it from dust, and put it in some DVD player. Cheerio!
